This is a view from the walkway near the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach, CA. I was painting on the walkway above the beach and some children were playing on the beach. It wasn't a particularly warm day, but they were having a great time.

Clinging Vine

I saw this lovely vine while visiting the local nursery. It was stubbornly climbing a trellis that had been intended for another plant. When I got home I decided to paint what I remembered of it, but changed the design of the trellis. I think it has a certain charm to it.

Iris Showgirl

I've been working on getting my summer show (Art-A-Fair) in Laguna Beach up and running.
The show runs thru July and August so any of you in the area would enjoy paying the show a visit. It's usually cooler in Laguna Beach so that's also an incentive! We are right down on the Canyon Hwy. not far from the beach and across from the Pageant of the Masters.

This painting is one I recently finished at the show. I love the feeling of the iris coming out of the shadows!

"Peaceful Time"

Early morning in the desert is always such a peaceful time. We stayed with relatives the last time we were there (for the SouthWest Arts Festival). There was a small balcony in front of our room and the view was something like this in my memory. It was a great time to get my act together and prepare for the new day.

Wishing Well

The pictured wishing well is located at the Mission in San Juan Capistrano, CA. It is located in a beautiful courtyard and inspires many people to toss in a penny to make a wish. The gardens are always beautiful, but are beyond belief in the late springtime.
